About our Correctional Officers

Our Correctional Officers maintain custody of those housed a the Roberts County Detention Center by enforcing institutional policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the inmates and employees; and to ensure that confinement and environmental conditions of the facility are maintained.

The duties of our Correctional Officers consist of but are not limited to monitoring cell blocks, recreation areas, court duties, transporting to and from medical appointments and court house for hearings, preparing incident reports for rule violations and other infractions, conducting inmate counts and maintain log records, conducting random searches of cell blocks and common areas, and responding to crisis situations.
